To realise the holistic principal of school as centre of social transformation,  with the divine blessing of Rare Spiritual Saint Mouna Yogi Poojya Shri Madivalayya Swamiji, Shri Basavaraj Patil Sedam, Late Dr. Nagreddy Patil and well-wishers of sedam laid foundation stone for Shri Kottala Basaveshwara Bharatiya Shikshana Samiti, Sedam in the divine presence adored deity of Shri Kottala Basaveshwara on the sacred day of “Vasanth Panchami in 1974” however over a time, this initiative gained momentum and the institution of Shri KBBSS grew into an ‘Educational Hub’ serving KG to PG with around  8000 students and 600 qualified teachers.

Students who came out of this institution, have been serving in the country and abroad adoring various higher positions and leading their virtuous lives. It is a matter of great pride that in the past 50 years, Shri kbbss has come very close to achieve its original dream. Finding and nurturing the diverse talent pool of students from Sedam and surrounding areas is indeed very fulfilling. It is noteworthy that KBBSS is putting equal effort into both formal and informal education systems. It has been the tradition of shri KBBSS to invite great Saints and renowned personalities including Historians, Educationists, Scientists, Artists, Musicians, Chief Ministers, and Ministers of Central and State governments etc., have visited our schools and colleges. So that our school and colleges students have able to enrich their knowledge through their thoughts.
